Reflections
on Quality
McGraw-Hill (1996) |
This book is a collection of aphorisms taken from the "Guidelines
for Browsers" sections of Philip Crosby's previously written books.
The editors at McGraw-Hill selected the "inspirations" and gave
me the opportunity to exchange, but not alter, them. I did neither. The
book is interesting because it can be opened at any page, it is small, and
we find that people use it as gifts, both corporate and personal.
Some excerpts include:
 | How you come across to others should not be left to chance.
|
 | Requirements are answers to questions and the agreements that
result from those answers.
|
 | It's hard to find a company that failed because its expenses were
too low.
|
 | You don't have to be noisy to be effective.
|
 | Auditing catches only the undedicated, bored, or careless.
